Not every trans person is like this, but a lot of them are. They do something awful and then pretend to be the opposite gender as a form of armor. That way if you address their behavior, you’re automatically a transphobe who is attacking them BECAUSE they’re trans, not because they’re a rapist.

The guy from Against Me!!!!!!!! was a violent alcoholic who abused women and got into multiple drunken fights with fans. He was a seen as an asshole and a self-absorbed prick. He put on a dress and lipstick and you never hear anyone talk about his past anymore.

Also, there was that racist guy Sean from B9. He said so much racist shit and got called out for it, so now he looks like Snape in lipstick and a dress.

Einar from xNOMADx did this after his band broke up in part due to his allegations too and changed his name to Val and also became a trans woman and moved across the country.

The guitarist from For Your Health apparently also used to be super weird towards underaged girls in Skramz Facebook groups pre-transition and changed his name to Rosa and did the same.
